Join us for an in-person Pennsylvania Flax Project Event Series this spring and summer to foster organic fiber flax production and supply chains! Expect to…

  • Meet existing and prospective organic buyers and growers

  • Get connected to the emerging organic flax-to-linen industry in Pennsylvania

  • Learn about: 

    • How fiber flax fits into organic rotations

    • How fiber flax is processed from field to spinnable fiber

    • Opportunities through PA Flax Project's cooperative business model

    • Organic certification requirements 

    • Technical assistance opportunities during organic transition  

This event will take place in both Spanish and English with simultaneous interpretation. Spanish-only, English-only, and bilingual speakers are all invited to attend this workshop.

Who: All are welcome and these stakeholders are especially encouraged to attend:

  • Farmers who are organic-curious, transitioning, or certified organic, of all production types

  • Textile and Bast Fiber supply chain stakeholders (i.e. papermakers, bio-composite manufacturers , bast fiber buyers, fashion designers, etc.)

  • Buyers of fiber flax and other alternative grains 

  • Those interested in participating in regional organic textile supply chains from the ground up

  • Priority Registration goes to producers in these counties: Berks, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lehigh, Montgomery, Northampton, and Philadelphia. We plan to expand in the future.

  • Attendance cap (limited to 20 please register below to secure your spot)

  • Translation services are available, please inquire below

  • This event will proceed as scheduled, rain or shine, except in the case of extreme weather conditions such as lightning and/or flooding.
